About me
Hi, I’m Marija Perić.
I help businesses bridge the gap between traditional SEO and AI-driven discovery – identifying what’s actually holding their visibility back and building a plan that addresses it in the right order.
How I Got Here
Five years across very different markets taught me how to diagnose what’s broken fast, prioritize what matters for growth, and build strategies that hold up under algorithmic, and now – the AI pressure.
The numbers behind the work:
- 286K monthly visitors – scaled an affiliate site from ~44K (6.5x growth) as Senior SEO Project Manager at LeadSpring LLC (Matt Diggity ecosystem)
- 20x revenue growth – from ~$1K to over $23.5K/month on the same project, earning a profit share for the contribution
- ~100 local businesses – managed SEO strategy and hands-on execution across New Zealand and Australia (mainly in competitive trades and construction niches), consistently moving location keywords from page 2+ into top 3
- UK / US / NZ agencies – ongoing freelance and part-time collaborations with SMT and Super Size Digital (UK), Atlas Digital (UK), MediWorks Digital (UK), OutreachMama (USA), and others
That range – affiliate at scale, local at volume, agency overflow at specialist level – taught me how to weather algorithm shakes and recognize patterns most single-niche SEOs never see.
The AI Search Shift (and What’s Coming After It)
As AI reshapes how people find information, the ground beneath search has shifted. AI Overviews and AI Mode on Google. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini synthesizing content instead of linking to it. Personalized search layers.
So I trained in AI search optimization (GEO, AEO, LLMO) – studying how each of the major AI players sources and recommends content, and integrating that into the SEO work I already do.
And the shift isn’t stopping at AI search. The next layer is the agentic web – autonomous AI agents acting on behalf of users, navigating, transacting, and making decisions. That changes what “being discoverable” means at a structural level, and I’m actively following and writing about it as it develops.
I believe those who understand both the traditional foundations and these new AI layers are the ones businesses will actually need going forward. That’s the approach I’m building every strategy around.
My Background
My foundation is in marketing and economics – Bachelor’s in Economics, Business Management and Statistics, with a Marketing focus from the University of Belgrade – which shapes how I approach SEO: as a business growth channel tied to revenue, not just a technical or content exercise.
I’m also certified in IT Project Management (Quantox Academy) and in Advanced NLP (Level II, with 110 hours of training in goal-setting, communication, and learning systems). Both show up in how I scope work, run multi-month engagements, and communicate with partners and clients.
How I Work
Every audit I deliver is a diagnostic.
I assess how your site performs for traditional search and how AI models perceive your content, your entities, and your authority.
Expect transparency and honest assessments – including when something isn’t worth fixing. I’d rather tell you what actually needs attention than hand you a list designed to look impressive.
One more thing worth saying: I’ve been a learner my whole life, and the pace of change in search and AI is the kind of challenge I actually enjoy. I treat staying curious as part of the job, not an extra – which is part of why my work holds up as the ground keeps shifting
